Camille Claeys obtained a Master’s degree in Law in 2012, with a minor in Criminology. She won the Jura Falconis prize for her Master thesis, called “Rights of the Juvenile Offender in Connection with the Personality file: Legal Safeguards and Confidentiality of the Personality File in the Scope of the Transfer to the Adult Court’. She has been associated with the CRiS research group of the Department of Criminology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel from 2013 till 2017.
She worked on a four-year FWO project about the police interrogation of juvenile offenders. The supervisors of this research project are Prof. Dr. Els Dumortier and Prof. Dr. Sofie De Kimpe.
