Veerle Pashley is currently conducting a doctoral research focussing on corporate military ethics over the private military security complex. Her research consists of a joint PhD (Ghent University, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Royal Military Academy) in criminology and social military sciences.
She is a board member of the Belgian Intelligence Studies Centre (BISC) and the Criminologist Association of Private Security (CAPS). She is also editor of the “Cahiers Inlichtingenstudies – Cahiers d’études de Renseignement – Journal of Intelligence Studies”. Her main area of research is private security, private military security and intelligence studies.
